frogeye Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Hi, Surely you need to be a bit concerned about the integrity of these tyres - have they had any repairs, uneven wear, etc.. Frogeye Quote
studsmassive Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 would'nt bother with them as i can put money that they are not feinforced which galaxys have and as i was a tyre fitter for twelve years i would'nt trust the names also tyres have a shelf date how sad i am Quote
Jayton Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 You're not sad, you just know the facts ;) Quote
Goofygolfer Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 would not be keen on having 4 odd tyres fitted, matched pairs is a minimum. Quote
sparky Paul Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 I often see these used tyres selling with 3-4-5mm of tread left going for daft money. Personally, I can't see the point in going to all the trouble of fitting used tyres unless they have at least 75% tread remaining... unless it was to sell the car. Even then, I would prefer to know their history, or at the very least have a really good look at them first. I have put used tyres on other cars, but I've never put them on the Galaxy. Quote
mumof4 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 reminds me, i still have 2 tyres from my old galaxy stuck in the garage with practically hardly any wear on them.. took em off before it was taken away. lol.. its a bummer when you pay a fortune on a couple of tyres only for some numpty to write your car orf a while later. lol Quote

Sorry rant over. Quote
